Alchemy: A seemingly magical process of transformation, creation, or combination

The colorful panels in this series were created using only white and clear enamel on copper. The technique I call Copper Oxide Enameling takes advantage of the naturally occurring oxides in the metal and the transformative properties of a kiln’s heat to create an explosion of color. Being able to create such a rich variety of color using only two enamels and heat always strikes me as somewhat magical, hence the series title, Alchemy.
